Ben is a commercial property and real estate lawyer.
He has extensive experience in all matters relating to commercial property
and real estate, including acquisitions, disposals, developments, consenting,
leasing, structuring and financing.
Originally from the Manawatu, Ben undertook his studies at the
University of Otago and obtained degrees in law and commerce.
After his studies, he completed a service with the New Zealand Army
on peacekeeping operations (and he continues to maintain a reservist role).
He then commenced his legal career in a large provincial firm in Southland,
before joining Claymore Partners in 2014.
Ben’s experience include:

Acting for agribusiness clients in all facets of farming and agriculture;

Acting for property developers regarding development projects
(including mixed-use strata and green-fields) from start to finish,
including acquisition, funding, pre-sales, consenting, third-party
service contracting, sell down and other related aspects of development;

Acting for buyers and sellers of commercial property in the office,
retail and industrial sectors;

Acting for buyers and sellers of farms, rural blocks and forestry rights;

Acting for landlords and tenants on a wide variety of commercial, retail, and office leases;

Providing advice on trust establishment and administration;

Providing advice on finance documentation and securitisation; and
-
Providing advice on general commercial, structuring and corporate matters.
